Highly trained and experienced bunch of firework fanatics!
With over 25 years experience of working with fireworks, Mike knows how to put on a good show whether that's for a small Wedding display or for a huge festival. Mike designs all of Sonic's displays with the aid of state-of-the-art computer programs that allow for virtual simulations and split second choreography with music tracks. What Mike doesn't know about fireworks simply isn't worth knowing.
When Mike and Mish married 18 years ago they even had a special black wedding cake with real indoor pyrotechnics fizzing away. Mish runs the customer services for Sonic and usually will be the cheerful voice you speak to on the phone. She also works on many of the displays and is learning to design shows as well.
Ron has been with us since 2004, his first show being the Wedding of ITV's Ben Shepard. Ron is a real asset to the team and can turn his hand to anything, from leading firing teams to barn fusing (prepping fireworks before they go on-site) and working out logistics for busy periods like Bonfire Night. But most of all Ron is known for his absolute love of fireworks.
Rob has been working for us since 2011 and is a well liked and trusted Senior Firer, capable of working on the most complicated shows we do. In his spare time Rob loves to Scuffle with his 4WD truck (pushing the limits of what the meaning of off-roading is) which comes in very handy for those wet and muddy firing sites!
Once upon a time Dave was a DIY customer of ours, now he is a fully trained and experienced Senior Firer. Always with a sense of humour Dave loves working with fireworks and his Marine engineering background comes in handy for Fireworks displays off water.
Calum is the youngest member of our Senior crew but don't let that fool you he earned his way up from regular crew to Senior with his hard work, level head and ability to be a team player. In his spare time he loves to race motorbikes and cars cross country.
Have you ever thought you have what it takes to Crew for Sonic Fireworks. You must be used to working in all kinds of weather and as part of a team. We run periodic application days.
We work hard and play hard, and we love "Havin' a Blast"
