2025 was a year we’ll remember for a long time.

Not just because it was busy (it really was), or because we fired some truly spectacular displays across the South West – but because 2025 marked 30 years of Sonic Fireworks.

From humble beginnings to championship wins, weddings, waterfront displays and brand-new effects, this year felt like a fitting celebration of everything Sonic Fireworks has become since our very first show back in 1995.

Our story began in 1995, when we fired our very first display for the VE Day 50th Anniversary celebrations.

What started as a small local display has grown into a professional fireworks company trusted with weddings, major public events, private celebrations and national competitions.(Read our full story.)

Reaching our 30th anniversary felt like a milestone worth celebrating properly – and we wanted to share it with the people who have supported us along the way.

To mark our 30th year, we decided to do something special.

We gave away three full wedding fireworks displays across 2025 and 2026 as a thank-you to couples planning their big day.

• The First winner was Stacey & Brad, who enjoyed her wedding fireworks display at Woodbury Park during a beautiful summer celebration.
• Secondly, we surprised Laura with a fireworks display at her autumn wedding at Hawke Barn.
• Our Third winner, whose display will take place in Spring 2026, is getting married at the stunning Ashbarton Estate.

August saw us return to Plymouth Hoe for the British Firework Championships 2025 – a particularly special edition known as the Champion of Champions.

Having won the Championships in 2022, we were honoured to be invited back to compete alongside other previous winners. Performing on that stage again, in our 30th anniversary year, was both a privilege and a massive moment for the team.

To coincide with the Championships, we hosted a 30th Anniversary VIP event at The Corinthian, overlooking Plymouth Sound.

It was an unforgettable evening shared with friends, supporters, partners and long-standing members of the Sonic family, featuring:

• Live music
• A special fireworks pub quiz
• Incredible food and drink
• Exceptional views of the championship displays over the water.

The atmosphere was electric, and it felt like the perfect way to celebrate three decades of Sonic Fireworks with the people who’ve been part of the journey.

Bonfire Night 2025 was one of our busiest and most successful yet.

We completed 30 displays across the season, all delivered safely and professionally, raising many thousands of pounds for good causes, local charities and community groups.

It’s always a privilege to support events that bring communities together – especially when they raise vital funds along the way.

One of the visual highlights of 2025 was the sheer number of fireworks displays fired over water.

This year alone, we delivered many spectacular waterfront displays from Sidmouth to Plymouth.

Reflections, coastal backdrops and wide open firing areas made for some truly breathtaking moments – and some of our favourite photos ever.

2025 also saw us step into something new.

At Orchardleigh Estate in Somerset, we delivered our first dancing flame show using our brand-new flame units. The result was a powerful, elegant performance that combined fire, movement and music – and the video captures it perfectly.

This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Sonic Fireworks, with flame and special effects now joining our creative toolkit.

As we move beyond our 30th anniversary year, one thing is clear: the passion that started Sonic Fireworks in 1995 is stronger than ever.

To everyone who booked us, supported us, celebrated with us or watched our displays in 2025 – thank you. Here’s to many more years of unforgettable moments, spectacular fireworks and exciting new ideas.
